Terms of Service
Last updated August 26, 2026
These terms govern your use of FileMod, a tool that converts PayPal transaction exports into a CSV file formatted for QuickBooks Online import. By using FileMod, you agree to them.
What the service does
You upload a CSV export of your PayPal transaction history; FileMod reformats it into a CSV file structured for QuickBooks Online's import tool. You are responsible for reviewing the converted file — including account names, categories, and amounts — before importing it into your books. FileMod is a formatting tool, not accounting or tax advice.
Accuracy and liability
We built FileMod carefully and test it against real PayPal export formats, but PayPal's export format can change without notice, and every account's transaction history has its own quirks. The converted file is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind. FileMod is not liable for any loss, discrepancy, or financial consequence arising from use of the converted output — always review your books before relying on them, the way you would with any bookkeeping tool.
Your account and email verification
FileMod identifies accounts by email address rather than a password. You must verify control of an email address (via a one-time code) before converting files, checking a balance, or making a purchase under that address. You're responsible for using an email address you actually control, and for the activity that happens under it.
Credits, plans, and payment
FileMod offers a free trial conversion, one-time credit purchases, and a monthly unlimited subscription. Payments are processed by Stripe; by purchasing, you also agree to Stripe's terms as they apply to the transaction. Purchased credits do not expire unless stated otherwise at checkout. To cancel a monthly subscription, email support@filemod.app; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refund requests are considered on a case-by-case basis — contact support and we'll work it out.
Acceptable use
Please don't:
- Attempt to bypass or automate around email verification or rate limits,
- Use the service to process files that aren't yours or that you're not authorized to handle,
- Attempt to access, probe, or disrupt the systems behind FileMod, or
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose.
We may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms.
Availability
FileMod is provided on a best-effort basis. We don't guarantee uninterrupted availability and aren't liable for downtime, though we'll do our best to keep things running and to fix problems promptly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use FileMod after a change means you accept the updated terms.
